MyTube is a desktop app for YouTube that runs on the Pokki platform.
If you've browsed the internet at all in the past few years, you're probably familiar with YouTube and its extensive collection of user uploaded videos. You could literally sit around watching random (sometimes inane) content for hours on end if you wanted to. So why not do it directly from your desktop? MyTube lets you do just that.
MyTube's got a simple white interface that some people might view as overtly plain. Up top, you've got a basic search bar where you can browse for specific video content. Beneath it, MyTube separates content into categories such as Most Viewed, Music and Most Recent in terms of having been uploaded. On the right hand side of the screen there's also featured content.
Unfortunately, MyTube has a few issues, the first being simply that videos take a long time to load, and some don't play at all. There's also an unfortunate lack of navigational features, which sometimes leave you stranded on a specific video page. Hopefully these problems will be addressed in future versions.
MyTube's useful for viewing some YouTube video content, but is pretty plain, especially compared to its counterpart Tubbi.
Clicking the 'Download' button will take you to Pokki's website where you can install MyTube.
